Baking School News:
I have my ServSafe Certification exam this Friday and I’m freaking out about how much I’m not freaking out which then makes me freak out about all of it.
Overall, I think I’m doing fairly well. I got an A on the first two exams, and a B+ on the third. I’m not really worried. I think what helps is the fact that it’s multiple choice and I can usually spot the correct answers even when I’m unsure of the actual topic??? Idk I’m gifted.
Next week I have a paper due on a recent food illness outbreak and after that, I’m all done. Except for…
I SIGNED UP FOR FALL CLASSES!!!!!!!!!
I might still sign up for another class if I get a different job, but at this point, I’m looking to keep this job until my one year is up and then look for another position. However, I’ll probably apply to a bakery, deli, or coffee place sometime in the next month or so. Gotta get that job experience, y’all!
Or I could just start a home catering business like I was planning????
Blog News:
I’ll be changing my url, theme, and basically everything within the next two weeks. I’m working on some new food gifs and then after that, it’s time to start chronically all my baking attempts. Mmmm I’m excited.
Second exam for my Sanitation class was an A-. F that. We went through all the questions and he gave me points for explaining the reasoning behind two of my answers which bumped me up to a solid A.
Score!!
I have spring break for the next two weeks which I’m thinking I’ll use some of it to read through all the chapters for the next exam which I think is in a month.
Let me tell you, reading once by myself, going through the chapter once in class, and then reviewing and highlighting key points is what is saving me in the class. Let it be said that I don’t test well except for when I do but that only happens when I actually read the chapters.
Have I mentioned that at the end of this class, I have to take the national ServSafe Exam which is kind of the whole point of the class and it’s like on the whole book omg!!!!Qadjlsjdaklsjd
So you can pass the class but not the final cumulative exam which is BS… that sucks major donkey butts. But I think I’ve got this in the bag. :|
I digress. We’re doing a Pot Luck at work next week for Easter. I’m making my signature Triple Berry Cheese Tart. Let’s just hope the fruit is not super expensive and I don’t have to buy multiple packages of each because they are gross. Ew.
